Para enfrentar a concorrência e em particular de lidar com o [[Citroën C4 (2004)#C4 Picasso|Citroën C4 Picasso]] que tinha retirado o primeiro lugar nas vendas de mono-volumes em França a Renault (o Scenic desde então retomou a sua propriedade), sua comercialização  Scenic em versão de 5 lugares e o Grand Scenic 7 lugares, ocorre durante 2009, a um preço começando em {{Unité|19900|€}}.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sem realmente revolucionar seu design que fez o sucesso dos [[Renault Scénic|gerações precedentes]], o Scénic beneficia nomeadamente das linhs rdondas da [[Renault Mégane|Mégane III]]. Gozando de um comprimento aumentado para {{Unité|4.34|m}} para o  « pequeno » Scénic e {{Unité|4.56|m}} para o Grand Scénic, a habitabilidade continua a ser o destaque desta carrinha enquanto o volume do tronco está tudo e comportamento de estrada é similar de um sedan.&lt;br /&gt;
